The T’ai-Chi Ch’uan we practice was developed by Professor Cheng Man-ching. T’ai-Chi is a Chinese martial art which combines meditation in movement, healthful exercise and self defense. The training includes practice of a 37 posture form which teaches relaxation, balance and strength. There is also a partner practice, called push hands, that builds sensitivity, timing and internal power.
Professor Cheng Man-ching was widely known in T’ai-Chi, and was regarded as one of the greatest martial artists of the twentieth century. He was also a renowned doctor of traditional Chinese medicine, poetry, painting and calligraphy.
Bob Noha studied T’ai-Chi Ch’uan with Professor Cheng Man-ching. Professor Cheng Man-ching was widely known in T’ai-Chi, and was regarded as one of the greatest martial artists of the twentieth century. He was also a renowned doctor of traditional Chinese medicine, poetry, painting and calligraphy.
The class is open to all levels with beginners and experienced students working at the levels appropriate for their level.
