Testing requirements


These are the minimum testing requirements for kyu and shodan ranks. Please note that the ability to test is ultimately up to the sole discretion of Sensei.

5th Kyu test (50 training days)

Tachi Waza

  • Katate dori – ikkyo – omote & ura
  • Katate dori – shihonage – omote & ura
  • Shomen uchi – ikkyo – omote & ura
  • Shomen uchi – irimi nage

Suwari Waza

  • Ryote dori – kokyo ho

Ukemi

  • Forward and Backward rolls
